Nate Sachs

Nate Sachs, is the founder and owner of Blueprints for Tomorrow®, a Scottsdale, Arizona-based business, specializing in Succession, Exit and Transition Planning. Nate’s overall goal is to get business owners to work on their business, instead of in their business.

Nate’s breakthrough “Blueprints for Tomorrow®” program is a series of blueprints that helps business owners deal with the “what-ifs” that keep them awake at night: What if I die? What if I get sick? What if I get an unexpected offer to sell? What if I want to sell my company? What if a key employee wants to leave? What if I want to be a more passive owner and not sell? What if I want to transition ownership to someone inside the company? What if I want to liquidate my business and just go home?

Blueprints for Tomorrow® helps protect what individuals work so hard to create, following a step-by-step process to determine which blueprints are required for each “what-if” situation that needs to be addressed. Nate’s approach is to solve one problem at a time using the Blueprints for Tomorrow Toolbox, a full suite of resources and capabilities.

Nate, who hales from Indianapolis, Indiana, has three decades of experience in insurance, executive compensation, estate liquidity solutions, and business planning. In 1983, Sachs moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and founded his company in 1985, which specializes in the design and implementation of succession plans for closely held businesses. The firm has built a solid base of highly satisfied clients who recommend its services to their friends and colleagues. Sachs graduated Indiana University in Bloomington, where he was president of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. Sachs graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance in 1977 and later received the Chartered Life Underwriting Designation from American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa., in 1985; the Chartered Financial Consultant designation in 1987; and the Certified Business Specialist designation in 1995.

Sachs is a frequent lecturer across the country at business organizations about financial issues. He has published hundreds of articles as well as a book focusing on business planning strategies and is a sought-after expert resource for publications about strategic business planning and exit strategies.
